6 week off-season training plan
Off-season means a chance to give your body a much-needed rest from heavy training and racing, preparing yourself to start the next season rejuvenated, healthy, and focused, but still with a good level of fitness. This plan is designed to give some structure to your off-season, with lots of easy recovery runs, reminders to rest, and some key interval sessions to keep your aerobic system stimulated.
The idea is to match relatively low overall training volume with relatively high training intensity, so that we start the next training cycle from a solid foundation. This plan is great for the winter off-season or immediately after recovering from a long race.
