Jason Schalrb is an ultrarunner from Durango, CO. He’s been a friend and fellow competitor for many years. Jason recently won the IMTUF 100 miler in Idaho, which initially motivated this discussion. While we do talk about that in some detail, the bulk of the conversation confronts the human side of the sport. Jason shares some recent struggles he’s dealt with, how he processed them, and how the experience made him a better person. We also talk about aging as an athlete and how to stay at our best through that process.
